How to Make Weekly Grocery Shopping Easier
Menu
planning and grocery shopping are a struggle for every family.
There just doesn't seem to be enough time in the week to plan
healthy meals and get the grocery shopping done. Here are
a few tips to help:
- Keep your grocery shopping
list and weekly menu list readily available in the kitchen.
Avoid keeping it buried in a drawer where it is easy to
forget.
- Tear off the page you are
using for the week and either pin it to your kitchen bulletin
board or hang it on your refrigerator.
- Show the grocery list and
menu to all family members and encourage them to write in
things they need throughout the week.
- Set aside one day a week to
plan your next week's menu.
- As you write your menu, go
ahead and list any ingredients you need for each meal.
Don't wait until you are about to leave for the grocery store
to write down the ingredients.
- Use the back of each grocery
shopping list to make any special notes about the weekly menu,
dietary concerns, or food allergies.
