Nguzo Saba (En-goo-zoh Sah-Bah) - the seven principles of Kwanzaa.

Bendera Ya Taifa - the flag of black nationalism symbolizing the struggle of liberation.

Tambiko - symbolizes the recognition and respect for the efforts and contributions of the African ancestors.

Harambee - the call to unity, collective work and struggle.  It literally means "Let's pull together"

Habari Gani - Swahili term for "what's happening".  Used when greeting others.

Kwaheri - Swahili term used as a parting expression of good wishes.
