How to Play
Object of the Game
To complete the Challenges as fast or best as possible and score more points than your opponents. The first player or team to score the most points after 5 Challenges wins!
Materials Needed
- Timing Device - A timer symbol will appear on all cards that require a timer.
- Various Household Items - Each Challenge will indicate the materials needed in bold letters. If the exact material is not available, just improvise. For example, if there's no tennis ball in the house, use another bouncing ball, etc. Once you choose your 5 Challenges, gather the materials needed for these Challenges before the competition begins to avoid interruption of play.
The Rules
- A minimum of 3 players is required. You can play any game card at any time.
- The Challenges are for individual or team play. Some Challenges are for Team Play Only (noted on game card). Before you begin, decide if players want to play individually or by team.
- To begin, choose any 5 Challenges. Review them and gather the materials needed. Have someone pick a Challenge and read it aloud. The Challenge will be one of the following categories:
- Contest: These Challenges test your skill at a particular task, i.e. who can toss the most pairs of socks into a bowl 15' away. Contests are played one player/team at a time. The winner scores 1 point.
- Time Challenges: These Challenges are against the clock, i.e. how many teepees can you build in 60 seconds using playing cards. Time Challenges are played one player/team at a time. The winner scores 1 point.
- Race: These are actual "races", i.e. who can find a spoon & fork the fastest. Races are for players/teams to compete at the same time. The winner scores 1 point.
- Each team/individual must complete the same 5 Challenges.
- With individual play, a non-player should be designated as the "Assistant". The Assistant does not compete, but rather reads the cards, explains the Challenge, keeps time when needed and determines the winner.
- With team play, an Assistant is not needed. Players not performing a Challenge should assist in keeping time when needed.
