The Take Out Time Out Mat (TOTO Mat) is a portable time out mat that helps parents consistently teach their children acceptable behavior whether at home or away. The Take Out Time Out Mat also helps teach children to share. When children fight over a toy, place the toy on the Time Out Mat until they agree to share.

How To Use the Take Out Time Out Mat (TOTO)

Introduce TOTO as the new time out and explain to your child how time out works.
Discuss acceptable and unacceptable behavior with your child.
Use the Take Out Time Out Mat immediately following unacceptable behavior.
Remain calm, cool, and collected.
A child should be given a time out equal in minutes to his/her age (Example 3 minutes for a 3 year old).
After the time out, discuss acceptable behavior that should have been used.
