Description

Beef and Vegetable Stir Fry makes weeknight dinners a breeze when your kitchen needs a fast, flavor-packed solution. Toss together tender beef strips, crisp veggies, and a zesty sauce that brings excitement to your dinner table in less than 20 minutes.

Ingredients

Scale

Protein:

  • 1 pound ground beef

Vegetables:

  • 2 medium bell peppers
  • 7 ounces broccoli

Seasonings and Sauces:

  • ¼ cup soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons sesame oil
  • 3 cloves garlic
  • 1 tablespoon fresh ginger
  • 3 green onions
  • Salt
  • Pepper

Instructions

  1. Rinse and chop 2 bell peppers, 200 grams of broccoli, and 3 green onions into thin, uniform slices for even cooking.
  2. Season 500 grams of ground beef with 30 milliliters of soy sauce, ½ teaspoon salt, and ¼ teaspoon pepper. Let the meat absorb flavors for 15 minutes at room temperature.
  3. Pour 2 tablespoons of sesame oil into a large skillet. Heat over medium-high heat until oil shimmers, about 2 minutes.
  4. Transfer seasoned beef to the hot skillet. Break meat into small crumbles and cook for 6-7 minutes until brown and crispy edges form.
  5. Crush 3 garlic cloves and mince 1 tablespoon fresh ginger. Sprinkle into the skillet and stir constantly for 45 seconds to release aromatic oils.
  6. Add sliced bell peppers and broccoli florets to the skillet. Stir-fry at high heat for 4-5 minutes until vegetables are tender-crisp but still bright.
  7. Return cooked beef to the skillet. Pour remaining 30 milliliters of soy sauce and toss everything together for 2 minutes to blend flavors.
  8. Sprinkle sliced green onions across the top for a fresh, sharp garnish just before serving hot.

Notes

  • Cut vegetables uniformly to ensure even cooking and a professional-looking stir-fry.
  • Marinate beef briefly to enhance flavor without breaking down the meat’s texture.
  • High heat is crucial for achieving that classic stir-fry sear and keeping vegetables crisp.
  • For a low-carb version, swap bell peppers and broccoli with zucchini or cauliflower to reduce carbohydrates.
