Description

Boursin Chicken delivers creamy, herby goodness straight from your skillet to the dinner table. Tender chicken breasts get a luxurious upgrade with melty Boursin cheese and simple seasonings that make weeknight cooking feel like a treat.

Ingredients

Scale

Main Ingredients:

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 8 oz boursin cheese (garlic and herb flavor)

Supporting Ingredients:

  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • ½ cup chicken broth
  • 12 tablespoons olive oil

Seasoning Ingredients:

  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 12 sprigs fresh thyme or rosemary
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

  1. Pat 4 chicken breasts dry with paper towels. Sprinkle 1 teaspoon salt and ½ teaspoon black pepper evenly across both sides of the meat.
  2. Heat 1-2 tablespoons olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat at 350°F. Cook chicken for 6-7 minutes on the first side until golden brown.
  3. Flip chicken and cook an additional 6-7 minutes on the second side. Ensure internal temperature reaches 165°F using a meat thermometer.
  4. Transfer chicken to a clean plate. Let the meat rest for 3-5 minutes while preparing the sauce.
  5. Mince 2 garlic cloves finely. Add to the same skillet without cleaning it, maintaining medium heat.
  6. Pour ½ cup chicken broth into the skillet. Simmer for 1 minute, scraping any browned bits from the bottom.
  7. Add 1 cup heavy cream to the skillet. Stir continuously and let the liquid reduce for 2-3 minutes until slightly thickened.
  8. Drop 8 ounces of Boursin cheese into the sauce. Whisk until the cheese completely melts and creates a smooth consistency.
  9. Chop 1-2 sprigs of fresh thyme or rosemary. Stir herbs into the sauce and season with a pinch of salt and pepper.
  10. Nestle the rested chicken breasts back into the skillet. Spoon sauce generously over each piece.
  11. Simmer for an additional 2-3 minutes to allow flavors to meld. Serve immediately with extra sauce drizzled on top.

Notes

  • Let the chicken rest after cooking to help it stay juicy and tender.
  • Use fresh herbs like thyme or parsley to brighten the creamy Boursin sauce.
  • For a lighter version, swap heavy cream with half-and-half or Greek yogurt.
  • Choose a high-quality Boursin cheese for the most flavorful and smooth sauce.
