Description

Chicken Maggi brings together quick comfort and flavor in a whirlwind of deliciousness that will make your taste buds dance with joy. Grab your favorite noodles, some juicy chicken, and prepare for a super speedy meal that satisfies hunger in mere minutes.

Ingredients

Scale

Main Ingredients:

  • 8.8 ounces boneless skinless chicken breasts or thighs
  • 2 packets classic Maggi
  • 1 large egg

Supporting Ingredients:

  • 3 tablespoons oil
  • ½ cup thinly sliced onions
  • ½ cup mixed bell peppers

Seasoning and Garnish:

  • 2 teaspoons finely chopped garlic
  • 2 teaspoons soy sauce
  • ½ teaspoon white vinegar
  • 2 tablespoons chopped spring onions

Instructions

  1. Warm 3 tablespoons oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat at 375°F. Toss in 2 teaspoons finely chopped garlic and ½ cup thinly sliced onions, sautéing until they turn golden and fragrant.
  2. Add 8.8 ounces chicken pieces cut into ½ inch cubes. Cook for 5-6 minutes, stirring occasionally, until chicken is completely cooked through and develops a light brown exterior.
  3. Create a small space in the pan’s center. Crack 1 large egg directly into the cleared area. Quickly scramble the egg with your spatula until fully cooked and broken into small pieces.
  4. Incorporate ½ cup mixed bell peppers into the pan. Pour 2 teaspoons soy sauce and ½ teaspoon white vinegar over the mixture. Stir everything together thoroughly.
  5. Pour 1½ cups water into the skillet and increase heat to high. Bring liquid to a rolling boil within 2-3 minutes.
  6. Add 2 packets of Maggi noodles and their accompanying tastemaker. Gently stir to ensure noodles are fully submerged and evenly distributed.
  7. Reduce heat to medium. Allow noodles to simmer for 4-5 minutes, stirring occasionally until liquid is completely absorbed and noodles reach desired tenderness.
  8. Sprinkle 2 tablespoons chopped spring onions across the top. Serve immediately while piping hot.

Notes

  • Use a wide pan to ensure even cooking and prevent noodles from sticking together.
  • Adjust the water quantity based on how soupy or dry your preferred Maggi consistency is.
  • Chop chicken and vegetables into uniform sizes for consistent cooking and better flavor distribution.
  • For a vegetarian version, replace chicken with tofu or paneer and use vegetable stock instead of water.
