Description

Sizzling Gordon Ramsays Chicken Tikka Masala brings bold British-Indian flavors straight to your kitchen with creamy, spiced perfection. Tender chicken swimming in a rich tomato sauce makes dinner feel like a delicious culinary adventure.

Ingredients

Scale

Protein:

  • 500 grams chicken breast

Supporting Spices and Seasonings:

  • 2 tablespoons tikka masala paste
  • 1 inch ginger
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • Salt

Base and Liquid Ingredients:

  • 200 grams plain yogurt
  • 400 grams canned tomatoes
  • 200 milliliters coconut milk
  • 1 onion
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • Fresh coriander

Instructions

  1. Combine 500g diced chicken breast with 200g plain yogurt and 2 tablespoons tikka masala paste in a large bowl. Allow the chicken to marinate at room temperature for 30 minutes, ensuring each piece gets fully coated.
  2. Warm 2 tablespoons vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Sauté 1 chopped onion until translucent and soft, approximately 4-5 minutes.
  3. Add 2 minced garlic cloves and 1 inch grated ginger to the skillet. Cook for 1-2 minutes until their aromatic qualities become pronounced.
  4. Transfer the marinated chicken into the skillet. Cook at medium-high heat for 6-7 minutes, stirring occasionally to brown each piece evenly.
  5. Pour 400g canned tomatoes and 200ml coconut milk into the skillet. Stir ingredients to blend smoothly and create a consistent sauce.
  6. Reduce heat to low and simmer the mixture for 20 minutes. Ensure chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165°F, cooking thoroughly while developing rich flavors.
  7. Taste and sprinkle salt as needed. Garnish with freshly chopped coriander before serving your aromatic dish hot.

Notes

  • Marinating the chicken overnight intensifies the flavor and tenderizes the meat for a more delicious result.
  • Opt for full-fat yogurt in the marinade to help create a richer, creamier sauce that clings perfectly to the chicken.
  • If coconut milk isn’t your preference, substitute with heavy cream for an equally luxurious texture.
  • For a lighter version, swap chicken thighs with chicken breast and use Greek yogurt to reduce calories without losing taste.
